Neutral take no extra damage from the elementsįor example Alto is a neutral character so he doesn't get extra damage do to the lack of an element however he can equip a stone that gives his attacks an element to do effective damage They are water, wind, fire, earth and neutral.
Some have the ability to attack a wide area and thus multiple enemy units.Īlso attacking from the back does extra damage and gives an extra crit chanceĮach unit has an element and their are stones that turn attacks into that element. This game has specials which Echoes might have taken the idea from however instead of taking away from hp thier is an sp bar the more points a special uses up takes away from the bar however once its used up if you don't have the sp for another you can't use skills anymore. However this can change do to a special function that if an action is taken that unit turn comes later so if Alto moves and attacks especially with the specials I've found I wait about two "turns" before I can go (their not really turns but still) this is basic stuff with each person having a movement like in Fire Emblem Its turn based but not in phases it is based on your agility stat the faster you are the faster your turn is so the order could go Alto, ally, enemy. We met Alto who literally is the definition of reckless he should have died ten times through out the story.Īlto is the best hunter in the village and its his friend Lisett's birthday she appears and after the intro to game mechanics yells at Alto.Īt home we learned that Lissetmakes everything purple she is a good cook but it turns purple.Īnyway I'm bord of telling the first two parts of the game now on to characters and advice of a person who got it on release and has played through it 12 times. We then get into the man story as a girl named Lisett (forgot the spelling) (generic childhood friend trope liked her until every sentence became my mom this my mom that) tells the story of a man named Elcrest to two kids, after telling it she asks them where's Alto (the main character he is basically Corrin from Fates but actually does shit by that I mean he works for his shit its like a combo of Corrin and Robin by that I mean Alto has some of Corrin's innocents but grows out of them). The story begins with a dream a male surrounded by six girls (no not hintai if your wondering).Īny way back on topic the man starts talking however is interrupted by black flames consuming his body when the flames fade the others start talking. I perfer this over you being to move everyone in a "phase" it provides more of a challenge don't worry their is no perma death however their are spacial challenges to do such as everyone thats chosen to fight must not be defeated or beat this boss with this character. Its basically like actual war were anyone can move next you could move one of your units and next is an enemy's turn and is displayed. What I mean is that every unit moves differently such as unit a on your team they might move first or differently based on elements such as moving and using a strong special also their are movement types and such but no real classes (except for the witches) This is a JRPG with elements like Fire Emblem being its turn based but not in total.
